Picnic Basket

"The Picnic Society." 11.25"x15.5." Colored Pencil, watercolor, acrylic on paper.

One perk to living in California is the sunshine.  The birds chirping, the green grass, it was beckoning us to have a picnic.  Rest assured, we shared our bounty with the native ants.

Valentines Day Present

Holding Heart. 4"x5.5" colored pencil on paper

Another Valentines Day is upon us.  Don't forget to treat that someone special with a gift.  Chocolates and flowers are overrated.  Why not give them a paint set instead!

Storm Watch 2010

A Little Birdy Chewed Me
14X20. Prismacolor colored pencil, Verithin, acrylic, watercolor and ink on Arches Hot Press Watercolor paper.

I heard ANOTHER rainstorm is on the way here in Southern California.  I think the last one made the birds a little crazy.  All the bugs came out in the sunshine; I think the pigeons thought we were part of the smorgasbord!

I posed for this last Spring in front of a pinhole camera.  I stood there for ten minutes.  Everyone was watching.. someone called me a rock star!

Fruits of Labor

Fruits of Labor
12.5"X15" Prismacolor pencils on Arches Hot press watercolor paper.

My only complaint from this day were the hot lights!  Oh well, the perils of being famous.  However I did get all the grapes while Splinter and Scisso served them.  Good times.
